This bug happens to me too. I don't want to change to tunderbird :-(

I'm also using IMAP, and the crash only occurs when some particular
messages are stored in the folder, but I can't discover what ones they
are. In previous cases, when the messages were deleted, the problem
disappeared.

In my case, kdepim seems to be also involved in the stacktrace (i'm
attaching it), but this may be because I've GPG configured, I don't
know.
