[Bug 70240] Re: Kde error message on kubuntu: "The process for the file protocol died unexpectedly"

I've just encountered this on a brand new install of KUbuntu 6.10 alternate
on a Compaq Deskpro EN6350 Pentium 350MHz with 192Mb of ram.
It happened after the very first login, i.e. no extra software installed.
It was connected to my adsl router and had obtained a good address
from there using dhcp.

Power down (which did not complete) and reboot -- problem did not
reappear.
