I can confirm I am having the same problem - knetworkmanager  hangs at
28% when trying to connect to a wireless network using Linksys WMP54G
wireless PC card (RT61 chispset).

rt61 driver was not working in Beta and is still not working with
Release - such a shame that Kubuntu 7.04 was released with such a
serious bug.
