Here is the a part of /var/log/kern.log. This freeze came at 17:19. I
had to force shutdown, everything else (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, Ctrl+Alt+F1)
didn't work. My system got upgraded since hoary. I'm using Gnome/ubuntu.
