Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: knetworkmanager
Hello. I discovered KNetworkmanager seems to work just fine with my
nforced-based ethernet card, but whenever I connect using wvdial (or
gnome-ppp), KDE apps like Konqueror, Amarok and KTorrent can't even get
a byte through the ppp0 interface. 'ping' and Non-KDE apps work fine,
and oddly enough ftp in Konqueror works as well..
Anyways, as soon as I did a "sudo pkill knetworkmanager" (sudo for the
heck of it) and started those KDE apps fresh, they were able to connect
to the internet!
Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I didn't notice anyone else using
wvdial to connect to the internet. -acg
