I'm just here to confirm this problem. Amarok blows away rhythmbox
(which is a very good app in itself, just not what I want) but just
can't install on Gusty Gibbon. I took a few screenshots of the situation
from the synaptic package manager. Mark Amarok-base for installation,
and it fails because it requires amarok-xine and libtunepimp5. Amarok-
xine can't be installed because it depends on amarok-base..

Amarok-xine's other dependencies look fine (i.e. it doesn't include libtunepimp5).. ok, so on to libcurl. libcurl4-gnutls is installed but not up to date. Why not? Oh, it depends on libcurl3-gnutls, which is not installed. Mark that for installation and it wants to remove:
language-support-en
libcurl4-gnutls
openoffice.org (all)
python-uno
thunderbird-locale-en-gb

so to update libcurl4-gnutls, I have to install 3, which uninstalls 4..
wait what?

Ok so this isn't an Amarok bug at all, no wonder this was the only
report I could drag up.
