Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: k3b

I have a cue file that was created in some character encoding as yet
unidentified. When I opened it in k3b, some characters got garbled
(namely e-acute and E-acute). The cue file originally had accompanied a
monkey's audio file. I had converted this to a flac file. I had then
edited the file name accordingly within the cue file using kate. I did
not tell kate to change the encoding at the time I made this first edit.

I then edited the cue file in kate so that the characters would read
correctly in utf-8. k3b still garbled them.

Then I re-edited the cue file to read properly in iso8859-1... Still
garbled.

Then in iso-8859-15...

If the default encoding for the system is utf-8, then k3b ought to be
able to understand and convert utf-8 to whatever encoding it is you use
for audio cd metadata.

** Affects: k3b (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
