Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdm
issueing
ssh server sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
Only *stops* the kdm - never start because of unneccessary terminal
requirements: Error reported is
sehe at sehe-laptop:~$ ssh server sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
Stopping K Display Manager: kdm.
'unknown': unknown terminal type.
Typical workaround:
sehe at sehe-laptop:~$ ssh server -t sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
Stopping K Display Manager: kdm not running (/var/run/kdm.pid not found).
Starting K Display Manager: kdm.
Connection to server closed.
The init scripts should never require console terminals, especially not
a-symmetrical (allow stop *and* start, or allow none)
