It is Kubuntu's Kopete 0.12.4, but its been unusable since I installed
Feisty.


Also, it may have something to do with the plugins, could you check if
> you enabled all plugins, if so, could you disable them and try again.


Only the default History plugin is enabled.

I have not been using Kopete in Feisty since this bug (and maybe others)
prevents me from a stable chat program and never remembers my settings.  I
hope that you can fix it!  Please let me know if there is anything more I
can help with.
