I confirm this bug. Besides KDVI, every application using Ghostscript "fails" on some files (in my case, many EPS files): Kghostview, ps2pdf etc.
As a workaround, I installed the GPL version of Ghostscript, and I told the system to use that version using:
sudo update-alternatives --config gs
