I'm using an IBM T60 laptop together with an external DELL monitor. This monitor is not recognized so I configure it manually from
   System Settings -> Monitor & Display
I configure the secondary monitor as "Genieric", "Flat Panel 1920x1200" and "Widescreen".
However, afterwards X won't restart and the following error occurs in the log:
