It looks like the new debtags changed something that adept is not
expecting, this is what I see in gdb:

kapture::PkgSystem::PkgSystem()
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Tagcoll::SystemException'
  what():  No such file or directory opening index file /root/.debtags//pkgidx.idx
