Same problem here. The account on the Jabber server (OpenFire)  is just
the <firstname>_<lastname>, no "@xyz.com". But Kopete wont let me move
head unless I enter something like abc at xyz.com. How do I get around
this? Other Jabber clients like Spark, Gaim are happy with just the
userid, no @xyz.com required. Is anyone looking into this? If this has
been forwarded to the KDE guys could someone kindly give a pointer to
it?
