Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept

Hello,

I installed Feisty Herd 4 a few days ago and
ran "apt-get --download-only upgrade" and
"apt-get upgrade".

Now when I type "apt-get upgrade" I see the
following message:

---
The following packages have been kept back:
  libx11-6 linux-headers-generic linux-image-generic
---

adept_notifier nevertheless shows a warning icon
in the System Tray which displays the message
"There are 3 updated packages available" when
one hovers the mouse over it. When I click on
the icon of adept_notifier icon in the System
Tray, adept tries to start up but then crashes
right after the status bar displays
"Reading state information". KDE's crash
information window states that the crash
occurs because of a SIGSEGV.

I am willing to dissect my system to give more
information.

Thank you,
situert
