[Bug 90871] User must edit xorg.conf in order to modify synaptics settings

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kubuntu-default-settings

..if xorg.conf had

Option  SHMConfig   "On"

under the  Synaptics Touchpad section of xorg.conf, they could instead
just install "ksynaptics" (which, imho, should be installed by default
anyway).
