Hi Andrew ,
Well apparently it is not much of a bug... It is just a change of how things work. Someone in the thread of the forum notified me that I have to open a last.fm account so this feature would work...
And so I did. Now, dynamic mode works.

Just one thing for the developers:

If you happen to make such a change in a main feature of your program.
Make sure you notify the users - whether trough the UI (preferred) or
the Help (harder to find !)

Amarok is the best.
