[Bug 94071] dhcp not working automatically in feisty

since upgrading to feisty the network never starts up. after every boot i have to manually start dhclient
/etc/network/interfaces is:

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
