I am having the same problem, too. Amarok cannot open files that are
encoded in UTF-8.

System is XUbuntu 7.04 (Feisty)

r0bert at atropos:~$ apt-cache policy amarok
amarok:
  Installiert:2:1.4.5-0ubuntu7
  Mögliche Pakete:2:1.4.5-0ubuntu7
  Versions-Tabelle:
 *** 2:1.4.5-0ubuntu7 0

It seems, that other kde-applications have the same problem, too. Testing with krusader resulted in displaying the same bug.
