[Bug 159821] Installing MP3 support crashes Amarok

Kubuntu 7.10 Live CD installation
After installing normally, and trying to play an MP3 file through
Amarok, it asks to go and get the required MP3 codecs. It fails and
crashes itself after clicking Yes, and it reports that the package
databse is already in use, when it isn't. Adept is not running, or
Synaptic or anything which can be seen to be using it. This also happens
AFTER rebooting, just in case it was locked for some reason, but the
same problem again.
