Yes, there have been some known instances before of these types of
crashes, though I had tried to isolate the crashfix patches into all our
Ubuntu packaging. I am not satisfied with disabling the plugin as a
solution and want to look towards fixing this right.

2.2.4 is approaching Backports phase, you can find a test package at
http://jdong.mit.edu/~jdong/motu/ktorrent_2.2.4-0ubuntu1~7.10prevu1_i386.deb

Can you reproduce this crash with ZeroConf on with 2.2.4?
