[Bug 149261] kdesktop kde crash on startup

Public bug reported:
after making a clean install of kubuntu 7.04 using a md5sum hash
verified .iso burnt to disk, on initial startup after installing 7.04,
before running any additional programs, recieved
"the application KDesktop (kdesktop) crashed and caused the signal 6
(SIGABRT)"
