Public bug reported:
When Amarok is started with an MP3 file, it pops up a dialog box asking whether it needs to install MP3 support. If the user clicks on the "install" button, Amarok then calls /usr/lib/amarok/install-mp3 which triggers gksu, but it asks for the 'root' password.
As Ubuntu has the root account disabled by default, its useless to request the password for that account, and so the install fails.
** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
