Additonal, I use ubuntu/gnome, not Kubuntu/KDE.

IBM Thinkpad T42
ATI Mobility 9600 64M
Ubuntu hardy beta

I think maybe X and Graphic card driver are mismatch or driver's bug.
It's unsavory!
Every time I have to restart or power off.
