Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kontact
Using:
kontact 1.2.9
kubuntu gutsy
If there is an easy way to transfer all one's kontact contacts from one
machine to another, then it's not at all obvious, either to me or to
anyone else on the Kubuntu-users reflector.
I have tried copying:
~/.kde/share/apps/kabc
~/.kde/share/config/kaddressbook
~/.kde/share/apps/kaddressbook_addrconfig
from machine A to machine to B, but starting kontact on machine B still
doesn't show all the entries (it shows only the addresses in the default
resource).
There should be a simple way to export ALL the data (from all address
books) and import ALL the data (from all address books), keeping all the
structure intact. Either that, or the Help should clearly describe which
files need to be copied to transfer ALL the data from one machine to
another.
** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
