The computer I ran Xubuntu on is now a home-server so I can't test it in
the same enviroment. However I installed xubuntu-desktop on my ubuntu-
laptop and qt4 designer (mind that the topic was about qt3-designer) is
running fine.

But since no-one has replied in a while I think it was just a very rare
case...
