There are a few different bugs being reported here. Katsudon reported
that it works fine with dhcp -> dupe of bug #280762. WEP does not
associate (possibly no-WEP does not associate either) -> dupe of bug
#292054. WEP/ASCII not working but everything else works-> could be a
new bug.

** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 280762
   knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured.
