Actually: no. Entering the command results in ... nothing. The display
simply shows a flashing cursor. The processor then jumps to a full 100%,
the applet appears, and the processor simply remains at 100%. The wait
begins. No changes.
The applet is terminated via normal means (i.e., the Close button). The
prompt returns to "normal" and the processor remains at 100%. The System
Monitor is required to locate the run-away process and terminate it.
That's the physical effects of the rogue process.
