That's not a solution I like, either.  I want there to be a text entry
box in the panel, that I give focus, type the word I want to look up,
and go.  The way it was in KDE 3.5.

Lemme ask this:  when I click that icon, does the text input box for the
word to look up in the dictionary immediately have focus?
