I am currently testing krdc in Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid.

Hardy comes with krdc 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1 and Intrepid comes with krdc
4:4.1.2-0ubuntu4

The newer version does not compress the vnc stream when you select "low
quality" as well as the older version. The older version would strip
away colors and allow a faster control of a remote computer. This has
been removed in version krdc 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu4 . If I connect it still
uses full colors and lagsmore than if I use 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1.
