this continues still today with same issues ive even reinstalled gutsy
and applied all updates to the T61 laptop

these appear like crazy when i try to access any wifi and even killing network manager and restarting it wont help
 jason-laptop kernel: [   52.560000] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): wlan0: link becomes ready

I've also tried replacing driver from intel's site for this card

 iwl4965: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN driver for Linux, 1.1.0
T61 Laptop Lenovo
