Binary package hint: kate-kde4
In previous versions of Kubuntu (8.04 and before), when doing syntax
highlighting for Python, Kate would classify parenthesis and brackets
("(, [, and {") as 'Character', allowing them to be colored differently
than the surrounding text, making source code easier to read. In the
intrepid version of Kate, they are classified as "normal", meaning
they're set to the same coloring as the surrounding code.
The same problem occurs with mathematical symbols ('+-*/^').
Kubuntu version 8.10 alpha 1
Kate version : 4:4.0.83-0ubuntu3
