Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdebase
Fired up the new KDE 4.1 to try it out, after removing my ~/.kde4 to
make sure I'd get the new default setup.
The desktop appeared with a semi-transparent empty rectangle top left
labeled "Desktop". Right clicking suggests that this is something called
a folder view.
Anyhow, I wanted to resize it, either to cover the whole desktop, or to
be smaller and less annoying. Clicking on the edges, it won't resize.
However, a black bar appeared to the right of it, the top icon on that
bar looks like a resize widget. So I clicked it, and then tried again to
resize the rectangle by dragging its bottom right corner. Still won't
resize.
So, either something is broken with the resize functionality, or the UI
is spectacularly unclear.
** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
