[Bug 237395] [NEW] Update to kernel 2.6.24-18 breaks rt61pci wifi connection

Public bug reported:

hi i'm using kubuntu. my wifi card rt61pci chipset has worked fine since
release of 8.04 kubuntu but yesterday there was a kernel update to
2.6.24-18, and now knetwork manager won't connect. it can see the wifi
connections but when i click on my home one it gets to 57% and then says
to recheck my password etc.

when i choose the prior kernel in grub on boot everything works fine.

thanks please fix this...
