[Bug 202558] [NEW] Screen/color corruption

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

    On the log in screen and the screen after log on, the screen is
completely distorted. There are several vertical colored lines, and it
seems to be displaying parts of the screen more than once. (while i'm
logging on I can see the mouse bouncing up and down in different
places).  It's so bad that I can't actually use the system.

    Right before this happened I was installing WarCraftIII using Wine,
it crashed, and then this happened.

This is using kubuntu 7.10
