I can confirm the bug on Hardy. Again, as mentioned above, installing the package for feisty from
http://kubuntu.org/packages/kde-358/pool/kdegraphics/kpdf_3.5.8-0ubuntu1~feisty1_i386.deb
works fine for me.

WHY does nobody react on this problem? This bug should be considered as
a severe problem.
