Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdm
It seems to me that after the upgrade to hardy (kubuntu) there is an issue with login.
Logging in works perfectly, but if I try to logout the screen is black and I am unable to do anything (and I do mean anything, ctrl-alt-f{1,2,3,4,5,6} do not work, ctrl-alt-del do work, but I can just turn off the computer as well...). I do not know what seems to be the problem.
Just to let you know: If i choose to logout and immediately do ctrl-alt-f1 I see a text console, and, after a short period it disappears and the standard login (kdm) theme shows up. So that's working, but why it does not work after "normal" log-out?
It's possible to log in and then start another session "just in case", but that's all. This bug is kinda annoying.
I really don't know wether it's a sure kdm bug, but becouse it's about
the login stuff I decided to report it.
