Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kde-guidance-powermanager
Since I updated my laptop on Kubuntu 08.04 the kde-guidance-powermanager isn't workin properly anymore.
I'm still using KDE 3(.5.9) and not the new KDE 4.
The first problem is, that the powermanger tells me that I only have a second battery and the first battery isn't present. Well I actually have only one battery and my laptop has no possibility to add another one. But in the former Kubuntu Versions my battery always was shown as first battery und not as second. In /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info you can see the information about my battery and in /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info is just written down "present: no". So why does the powermanager does exchange battery 0 and 1? (Picture: http://www6.picfront.org/picture/EODwXMQLdT/img/powermanager1.png )
But the more important problem is, that the battery state doesn't refresh on itself but only when I use the command "acpi" on the commandline. But after this refresh only the state of the small symbol in the systemtray is correct but not the detailed view (Picture: http://www6.picfront.org/picture/sIcJErbZ/img/powermanager3.png (The green battery symbol is right but not the information about "Battery 2"))
** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
