Richard: I reverted the hostname address to 127.0.1.1 and sysconfig (and
kcontrol) is still working as it is supposed to so I guess that, even
when in my case changing it to 127.0.0.1 helped to put
sysconfig/kcontrol back on their feet, the problem is somewhere else
(unless someone else has tried it and it helped to restore system
settings/kcontrol functionality on their system).
