It is not marked fixed in Ubuntu; the status is still confirmed. The bug
has been marked fixed in LyX since the LyX developers have fixed the bug
in their repository as you said.

To get this bug fixed in Ubuntu, the build of LyX in intrepid should be
fixed first (currently it fails to build because of a problem with
boost), then LyX 1.5.5-1 can be backported to hardy.
