Gutsy has the same issue with Screem 0.16.1-4.1ubuntu1 and Kmail 4:3.5.7enterprise20070926-0ubuntu2.1
To reproduce: install Kmail first, then install Screem.
Re-enabling Firefox as default browser does not help.
