Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: knode

Version 0.99.01 - using KDE 4.1.2 - installed via Kubuntu Intrepid

It uses more and more memory, and top shows it can use several hundred
megabytes after few mintues - it seems to me that it does not allocate
by itself (ie when I do nothing), but if I choose a different NG for
browsing, even if it has been browsed before, increases the memory usage
by some megabytes.

Description:    Ubuntu 8.10
Release:        8.10

knode:
  Installed: 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I only have the server news.digitalmars.com connected, and subscribe to
the following NG's there:

DMDScript
digitalmars.empire
digitalmars.D.learn
digitalmars.D.ide
digitalmars.D.dwt
digitalmars.D.dtl
digitalmars.D.debugger
digitalmars.D.bug
digitalmars.D.announce
digitalmars.D
D.gnu
c++.stlsoft
c++.announce
c++

It should be mentioned that the number of messages in some of these are
significant, at 25k, 16k, 13k and 11k. I have been using KDE3 based
KNode for several years without any issues of this sort.

** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
