Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace-libs4+5
I have just upgraded from kdebase-workspace-{data,libs4+5,bin} from
4:4.1.2-0ubuntu12 to 4:4.1.2-0ubuntu13 and yakuake transparency stopped
working. Transparency is very important to my productivity because I
work with several UNIX servers which I access from yakuake and I also
need the information below to be showing while I type the commands. I
can't do this with a non-transparent terminal and yakuake is the most
practical of all terminal emulators.
Description: Ubuntu 8.10
Release: 8.10
What I expected to happen: After going to yakuake, manage profiles,
clicking on "Shell", "Edit Profile", select the "Appearance" tab, choose
"Linux colors", and choosing the Background transparency to be 25%, I
expected yakuake's shell background to show things underneath like it
was doing before the upgrade mentioned above.
What happened instead: After going to yakuake, manage profiles, clicking
on "Shell", "Edit Profile", select the "Appearance" tab, choose "Linux
colors", and choosing the Background transparency to be 25% (with "Vary
the background color for each tab" set or unset the result is the same),
the background is still all dark, without showing stuff below it. I can
choose several transparency settings (even 100%) and kill and restart
yakuake but the result is the same.
