I suggested that this bug be filed, so let me describe it in the terms I
was thinking of.
adept displays the package description. This is *not*, repeat *not*,
intended as a description of the *update*; it is a description of the
*package* (i.e. it is likely to be exactly the same text for most
versions of the package, and only changed relatively infrequently).
littlergirl interpreted this as a description of the update, in other
words something that might be useful information about whether the
update should be applied. Looking at the screenshot provided, I can see
where this interpretation came from.
If adept needs a description of the update, then the proper source for
that is the changelog (which is imperfect and intended more as a
developer log than a user-friendly description, but at least it hits
roughly the right target). If it wants to display the package
description, then it should do so in a way that makes it clear that it's
describing the package as a whole rather than describing this particular
update.
The "warning" in the linux-ubuntu-modules package description is aimed
at people looking at this package in a fully-fledged package manager and
deciding whether or not to install it. It remains useful in that context
and should not be rephrased.
