[Bug 288318] [NEW] DPMS doesn't turn off the screen

I have enabled "Power off after x min" in the "Screen Energy" tab in
Powerdevil 1.3.0's configuration. It used to work previously and just
turn off my laptop's display. After some KDE update though, mostly it
never works of just makes the screen black.

I'm using the latest Intrepid and have the screensaver disabled.
