Well, obviously I have now upgraded all upgradable packages, so the
upgrade balloons have gone away.  The point is that upon installation of
a new system, a newbie is presented with all those balloons.

But if you're telling me that you're sure that the next CD image that
you release will not have this problem, then good.

I don't think you can speak of “after beta” in the past tense, because
Kubuntu will surely be in beta until the release on 30/10/2008.
