1.  Scott, I don't think the comments under point number one are going to be useful to anyone other than making you feel better.  When KDE 4.1 was released, bluetooth worked with the latest release of *buntu.  It continued to work until just a few weeks ago in the development release.  To get upset at them when they're between releases isn't fair, useful, or productive.

2.  I don't know if there's more configuration settings somewhere else,
but the gnome bluetooth-applet is painful.  I have to constantly remove,
search, and then re-add my mouse.

3.  I was convinced to try Ubuntu because, "It just works."
