Same problem here with Broadcom BCM4306 on Kubuntu 64bit kernel
2.6.27.2.  Funnily enough I get two lots of my network shown when I
click on available networks.  The output from my card is reported as
-27dB and input to it is 0 when using iwconfig???  I tried the same
install method with Ubuntu 64bit (2.6.27.2) on the same PC  and it works
fine.
