The kopete thing doesn't really have anything to do with this bug. The
kopete plugin failed to install last time you tried to install it, which
is a separate bug in itself.

Could you get a backtrace of the Plasma crash. (You'll want to install
kdebase-workspace-dbg to get a good backtrace.)
