Guys, pretty please stop using this bug report for any further
discussion. This one had a very particular and well understood reason,
and it *is* fixed. Please file new crash/bug reports for problems in
current hardy (8.04.1) and intrepid.

There are > 100 subscribers to this bug, no reason to spam them all with
unrelated reports.
