Aloha piovisqui!

What you describe sounds like an issue with KWin's desktop acceleration
(i.e. graphics 3D bling). This can either be caused by a specific
configuration that exposed an issue in your driver/X, or by driver/X
being changed in a way that either triggered an issue within KWin, or
that KWin exposed an issue within the X stack that was there all along.
In any case it appears to be obvious that the X update is at fault here.

Still, there is the possibility that we need to add your chip/driver to
the blacklist, so KWin will not even try to use desktop effects. So, my
question for now is: did desktop effects work before (e.g. did your
windows have a drop shadow and did you get a fancy animation when you
switched across virtual desktops).

Thanks in advance and have a nice day :)
